[Juudai looks around carefully, in a bit of shock. He just bumped into someone, and suddenly the world was ruined by his ass hitting the ground? That didn't make much sense. He's notably younger than most Juudais, and is wearing his middle school uniform from episode 1. There's also something odd about his demeanor -- not abrasive, but... rather heckcare and aloof without quite being completely detached. He SEEMS to be mentally and emotionally all there -- no Haous here, folks -- but... there's just something very different.]

This Juudai goes off the idea that the memory erasing procedure also erased his ability to communicate with spirits, and he started to take his cards for granted as a result. People would tell him he was probably hurting the poor cards by the way his mistreated them and started taking less and less care of them -- they were all pretty young kids, after all -- and his only response to that would always be "how can you hurt something when you can't hear it/it doesn't exist?" He was ABOUT to receive Hane Kuriboh from Yuugi, and had just bumped into him when he was transported here.

So yeah, he's not QUITE Haou, but he's a lot more of an ass than your standard issue spirit-hearing Juudai.))

[Johan is wandering around casually, then blinks when he sees Juudai there. It's a bit startling to see him out of the Academy red uniform, but, hey, you see lots of different things around here.]

Uh, anyway... I was kinda running late to Duel Academia's entrance exams and then I ran into someone, literally... and then I was here.

Wow. Most of the Juudais I've met are from about the same tiem I am, maybe off by a few months. [He thinks, trying to remember what Juudai's told him about his early years.]

Yes, seriously. [He thinks some more. No, Juudai wouldn't know about the Seven Stars or the Light of Ruin or anything else that he mentioned from first or second year. Oh, wait!]

You also got a rare card from Mutou Yuugi. Before you even got to the entrance exams. Hane Kuriboh.

[His eyes grow slightly distant as Ruby Carbuncle whispers to him about the pain in Juudai's deck.]

[Johan stares at Juudai. Any regular Johan would be offended by that. But this one, who grew up with Duel Spirits all around him, is especially furious.]

You can. Or will. You told me that it took a while for you to be able to hear and see Hane Kuriboh. [There is also an air of seething fury in the words as well.]

And those 'imaginary friends' are as real as you or I am. I grew up with Duel Monsters. And I don't mean just playing the game. I've flown with Sapphire Dragon. Cliff the Trap Remover taught me how to pick locks. Brron, King of Dark World, the bastard, is my adopted father.

You don't have to have seen or heard something for it to exist. And I already know that they do. I told you, I grew up with them. And there are some around here. I wouldn't tell them that they don't exist. They might get a bit annoyed.

[The Juudai that Johan remembers wasn't this much of a jerk. Obviously, all of his experiences mellowed him out. Johan is rather glad he met Juudai after all of that, now that he thinks about it.]

Don't blame me if one of them ends up punching you. Or worse. Believe me, it can get a lot worse.
