[He hasn't been around in ages, but now he's returned, and just in time to get nailed by this week's plot! And for a change of pace, he can't talk! He doesn't look overly thrilled by it either, as he wanders about searching for some way to break the curse of silence. Who wants to poke a Johan with the power of Gentle Darkness who can't talk?]

[Here's a little someone who's happy to see you. Or, at least, she thinks she is. She recognizes you as a younger version of her daddy, but she's wary. She reaches in her bag for a particular deck of cards (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Structure_Deck_11:_Surge_of_Radiance) in the hopes that you'll recognize it as the one you gave her. Kuribon takes this wonderful opportunity to emerge from the pipe and jibber at you.]

[Ruby Carbuncle appears on Johan's shoulder and trills back at Kuribon, conveying that Johan can't talk at the moment. Ah, the convenience of having Duel Spirits.]

[Johan himself just looks at her without any recognization, then touches his lips and shakes his head, just to reinforce that he can't talk at the moment.]

[Oh... She pockets the cards and pouts. Not that Johan. Still, if he's also having speech problems, maybe he can help her find a way around this mess.]

Kuri-kuri... [Ruka is equally mute.]

[Once Ruby passes that on to him, he offers a rueful smile, then gestures around in a way that indicates the whole island. More or less "this place is doing it to us", though that might be hard to comprehend.]

[She scratches her head. Did he mean everyone was having this problem? Well, that seemed likely enough. The last person she encountered was deaf, though. She looks at Kuribon. The little creature seemed to know what she wanted most of the time.]

Kuri-kuri! Kuri. [The Black Magician lost his hearing.]

[Ruby Carbuncle passes that on to Johan, who nods a bit; obviously it's striking different people in different ways.]

Ru-bee! [Johan thinks it's this place doing it to everyone]

[Oh, no! That's not good! Ruka is more than a little worried. If everything's messed up, how can she talk to her friends?]

Kuri! Kuri-kuri! [Is there a way to fix it?]

[He's not overly thrilled either. He can tell that the Light of Ruin is around this island somewhere and not being able to talk while his mortal foe is lurking annoys him. Also, what if he meets his Juudai?]

Ru-bee! Ruu! [I don't know. Johan doesn't either.]

[Well, that's just got her all bummed out. She gets the feeling that there's something else bothering Johan, but she doesn't know how to ask. Still, maybe there's hope of finding at least one unaffected person.]

Kuri-kuri? [Have you seen Juudai?]

[Johan keeps looking around. Perhaps he should send one of the Gem Beasts to go search for Juudai? His in particular, but any Juudai would do, really.]

Ru-be!] [Johan is going to send someone to look for him. But we can go searching too.]

[Cobalt Eagle appears, dips his wings, then sails off to search for a Juudai. Any Juudai.]
