[It's Stardust who senses them first, shocked into silence because there's no fucking way that they could be giving off that signal-except it's this place and he's been here long enough to know how it works and-fuck if he's here shit shit shit

He suddenly starts off with a dash, rocketing away from his partner in the urge to confirm his senses.]

Stardust-?! [Yuusei follows to the best of his abilities and nearly loses sight of Stardust when the alien goes through a building and he has to go around it.]

It's him, kid. And if he's here then that means they're...

Him? They? What- [And his voice comes to a halt as he turns the corner and sees them-the sight bringing up memories of old fights and old heartbreak and betrayal....]

Well well, looks like our friend hasn't changed yet, that should make him easy to pick off. Right Kiryu?

[Yuusei braces himself, ready to battle if need be...he takes his Hunter VG out of the back pocket on his belt, holding it at the ready. Still, he won't fight his nakama without trying to reason things out first...but if they're from the time he thinks they are, then...]

[Stardust actually seems to give Yuusei a look-he knows that Yuusei knows that Gemini is indeed there. But he also knew how Yuusei disliked having to fight his friend...]

[Kiryu looks a little hesitant, but braces himself]

[They stand in the a straight line, ready to blast both the boy and the alien with one combined shot]

[He manages to transform just in time to take the attack head on-even unguarded, taking the attack while transformed was a much better outcome as to taking it with his unprotected body. Still, the attack is strong and he hasn't fought since that mess in the forest, and so he's knocked to the ground, temporarily paralyzed by the dark blue thunder.]

[Kalin grins with wicked malice from a successful attack. He runs ahead, ready to punch Yusei's lights out while Kiryu guards from behind]

[Then Stardust remembers. He's a Wizard now. He can function independently from Yuusei even when fused. He materializes in front of Yuusei's prone form, rearing his claws back for an attack.]

[It's then that Yuusei manages to get up, just in time to see Stardust barely claw against Kiryuu's body, unable to stop the attack and simply lessening its power so to not hurt the other one]

[The uninjured Kalin attempts to shoot a thunderball back at him, while Kiryu struggles to keep himself up, letting Kalin take charge again]

Battle Card, Silver Wing! [Yuusei folds his wings in front of him as they suddenly grow in size and become impenetrable for some time. He seems to know the attack patterns well...]

We've already beat you before. We won't lose this time either!

Elec Sword! [Kalin draws out a large blue blade crackling with electricity, molded from his Apu arm. Kiryu on the other hand, tries to get behind Yusei for a sneak attack]

Can you really say that for sure? [Attempting to strike Yusei at his heart]

Arms Aid! [The left arm with Stardust turns into a red, robotic arm, which Yusei uses to swipe at Kalin before getting narrowly hit by Kiryuu's attack, throwing him off despite his attempt to dodge. He might know their attack patterns, but that doesn't change that he hasn't fought in a good while and that these two had been ready to fight.]

We can, and we will win!

[Kalin rebounds back, motioning at Kiryu to come with him. Yusei has already been weakened by their first move. How about a repeat as they get into position again?]

[What appears to be his own energy leaks out of his body and seems to solidify his armor enough to the point that he can put up his hand to the attack to block it-even if it is still causing him pain and difficulty.]

[Yuusei makes an attempt to block-but it's then that his Iron Resolve wears off, and the punch has more of an impact than he expected.]
