[Dinner is running. Normally, that would make him pull up and wonder just how evil he is to be attacking a helpless human. But but but that blood-smell is making his insides rumble in hunger and his fangs lengthen. He reaches out as he starts to level off, flying low along the ground as he reaches out for the human, the distance closing between them. Derek has about three seconds to hit the dirt if he doesn't want to be grabbed.]

[This was definitely unexpected--and hit the dirt he does, falling straight down on his face quite accidentally and ducking his head, covering the back of it with his hands and gasping.]

[Thwarted, Chimera pulls up with a scream of frustration, flapping his wings and rising back into the sky. He starts to turn for another pass, figuring he'll grab the human when he tries to flee again, or he'll just land right on top of his prone meal.]

[The scream makes him clap his hands over his ears. He scrambles to his feet while he notices the strange creature flying up into the air, deciding to cover as much ground as he can, running with as much practice as a doctor has in the ER and the halls during the graveyard shift.

He's incredibly fast, his wings barely making a sound, his eyes glowing hotly red. The want of blood pounds in his brain. He reaches out for Derek as he closes in, his claws sure to snag in the surgical scrubs if he gets his hands on them.]
