Mahaado's Mystery Tent

Mahaado is used to being in confusing situation's at this point. Yugi keeps him summoned like a teddy bear. But Yugi's been through a lot in the past two weeks so it's understandable. But then Mahaado got brought to this place, and without his Pharaoh around he's kinda... lost.

Though right now Kaiba serves as Mahaado's Master, the homesick nature sometimes rises up in Mahaado. True Set can be a comfort... being chibified is NOT....

So Mahaado is trying to fix his homesickness himself. By placing a tent on the island that is in the style of his homeland. It looks like a tent from his time, fitting for a High Priest, the area around it feels as warm as it would in Egypt. Everything about it feels like Egypt of his time.

There's just one little thing.

It's not visible.

From the outside, it looks like the island, maybe with the wavery effect of intense heat in one spot. It's not until someone walks 'inside' the illusion that they see the Tent and the interior. Because Mahaado doesn't have a room in the Castle or the Dorms. When he 'sleeps' he just shuts himself down and hovers where ever he has been, only invisible. He's trying to be human with this little stint.

What does this mean for the poor sap who walks into it?

Are you tired? Just want to hide from the world? The tent will provide! Though it's an illusion it's meant to be comforting to Mahaado. But it's not fully stabilized yet so it will take you into consideration! If you're just looking for a place to be alone, even if the tent became ground Zero of a party. No one will see you, and the sounds will become semi muted to let you have peace.

Save Mahaado or Set. A 14 year old Set. Mahaado's distraction and focus on his home land has allowed him to create a non chibi Set. (Though this Set is closer to Kaiba a smidge and you can talk to Kaiba in a sense if you try.)

[And who should accidentally walk into the tent but Chro-- I mean, Ryuki. Being an illusionist himself, he can somewhat tell he's stepped into an illusion. He glances around, wary.]

"Why are you here?" It's barely structured Japanese, Kaiba is on the loose at the moment.

The expansive tent looks like something for an outing, not a war. So it holds a lot of the comforts of the time period it came from. There's a couple of long chairs/couches. A nice rug under foot, and some trunks laying about...

And a 14 year old Set, sitting at the table looking at a map of the island. But he's not looking 'at' you... Like a puppet, who has a master in another reality.... Say 'Hi' to Kaiba!

Ah... my apologies... [He bows slightly.] I wandered in here by accident. If you wish for me to leave, I will.

"I do not control this place. If you want to stay then stay... It's what he designed it for." A faint grumble, like a dragon rumbling from his direction is heard.

"Ah... I'm sorry," And Mahaado materializes in the center of the room for you! High Priest mode of course...

14 years old, but that's not so bad...

Hm...? What are you apologizing for? [Ryuki tilts his head, somewhat confused.]

"Ahh... well..." and he nervously tries to point without pointing at the grumpy Set in the corner at the map.

"I'm afraid that currently Set is spiritually connected to Kaiba in my native reality. So that is to say, Kaiba's temperamental side is... ahh showing."

Ah... I see. [Ryuki bows.] Anyway... forgive my intrusion.

"Oh, no it's fine... I've been working on this illusion for a bit of time. Feel free to relax if it so suits you," he gave a polite bow....

And is now walking over to Set to try to turn down the grumbling CEO's connection to the island. Set is a handful, Kaiba would make things 'worse'.

[He nods and sits down, looking around in slight wonder.] This is an impressive illusion.

"Thank you, are you new here?" He asked over his shoulder.

"Ah well then, welcome to the island. I suppose someone has already explained everything to you?" With that he gestured towards the map resting on the table.

Ah... I've only heard about the doubles part as of right now. Is there anything else I should know?

[Just wandering the beach, not really knowing what he's doing there aside from just trying to occupy himself with something other than sitting in trees, until he accidentally walks inside. Whoa man, just whoa 8|]

Though right now Maha looks 14... Seth? He's... working on something... something... with WINGS on it... just drawings on papyrus but he's up to something.

Both of them are 14 though... A wee bit older then the 8 year olds you met.

[Yuu pulls his wings in close behind him, though not away as he moves further into the tent. And odd sense of calm has overcome him as he moves forward and crouches by Seth now, tilting his head.]

You might be surprised to find that it looks like diagrams for flight. Yes, Set is trying to come up with a plan to help you learn how to fly. Not only that but since Set at this age is a bit closer to Kaiba, you can see bits of Japanese writing as Kaiba's own input is showing here and there.

[He is? He wouldn't know as he just kind of curls his fanned tail around his boots a bit and watches Set work diligently. The bits of Japanese are recognizable and somewhat discernible among the rest, and it just piques his curiosity more.]

"Working," this is said in japanese therefore feel free to understand what Set just said.

Yes... Set just spoke in Japanese, because right now Kaiba's soul is a bit strong in this illusion.

"Set... Kaiba... well both of them are trying to think of a way to help you learn to fly," Mahaado explained patiently. His floating spellbook suddenly snaps shut and disappears.

[Yuu blinks and looks at Set and then back to Maha.]

Like... the Kaiba who started Kaibacorp? [Another confused blink as he turns back to Set's drawings. He knows what it's like to be busy working and not exactly want to talk so he just remains quiet and watches in awe.] And... you really don't have to.

"Yes, he took over that company in my reality. Set and Kaiba are one and the same, one soul, two lives..." Mahaado shrugged as he went looking for a seat for Yuu. "I wouldn't bother trying to dissuade him, Kaiba has a great deal of time on his hands and this would be healthy for him."

[Yuu just kind of blinks at them both and cracks the slightest of smiles. These two seem so carefree... and light of heart. He likes it, the way their feelings imprint on his own and make him feel that much better.]

But that carefree behavior is an illusion unto itself. Mahaado is scared of upsetting Set's divine nature and therefore behaves like this. Though it's not 'bad' Mahaado missed these days as well, but still. Angry god is Angry. And Angry God is Scary.

/You're the one that adopted him! I'm just trying to help him fly with the big birds! He won't with wings like that.../ Set growled, and he's out of the chair and ready to stalk Maha. Though he did offer to jab a finger towards your wings Yuu... So you can get a hint what they're discussing.

Mahaado? He's levitating a few things to fling at Set if he gets too close.
