[Due to the inclement weather Atem has finally been forced to locate shelter. Luckily this particular shelter, the castle to be specific, is fitting for one of his refined tastes. He thinks maybe he shall claim this land For France! as his own. But that is besides the point.

Anyone who happens to find themselves in the area might hear a bit of commotion coming from within. Somehow. In spite of the thick stone walls yes. And if they are a little curious the noises may eventually lead them to the kitchen. And should they happen to look inside they will find a very amused Pharaoh looking most undignified while sitting on the floor, surrounded by piles of toast and not a few empty bags.

Isn't technology wonderful?

Er... someone might want to try and take the toaster away before he kills himself though. He could totally manage it. After all, no one's told him what happens when you try to give it a bath.]

[And here's Jaeger, coming in from the cold rain. There might be little bits of hail on his coat.

He's surprised to hear the squeaky metallic noises of a...toaster? He further investigates and stumbles upon an extravagantly dressed young man who looks strangely familiar.]

[What timing! Atem was getting a little bored waiting for the current batch of toast. He looks up at Jaeger and attempts to compose himself quite unsuccessfully.]

Ah... How do you do? Do you reside here as well?

Aaa, I think for now, yes. [He eyes the toaster and heaps of toast for a second.]

Oh excuse me, my name is Jaeger [bow], it's nice to meet you Mister...?

[Seems to brighten up when he hears that.] Excellent! This really is quite the place. A vast improvement from the ruins that this world so carelessly dropped me into.

[Inclines his head in acknowedgement of Jaeger's introduction but see's no reason to offer a proper greeting to one less important than himself. Besides, the toast is calling. He has to remove it or he won't be able to make more. Wouldn't that be a shame?] oh yes... I am Atem. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

[Jaeger resists making a face at the lack of formality, clearly this man is forgien. He also refrains from commenting on the tost for now.]

Atem...you wouldn't happen to be in relation to a Mutou Yuugi, by chance?

[Well there's a comment he's certainly getting use to, whether he likes it or not. It's enough to distract him from his fun. He looks up, crossing his arms and appearing distinctly less amused.]

An awful lot of people seem to think that but I had never even heard of this Yuugi kid before coming here. Though I suppose a three thousand year gap in time could have something to do with it, I assure you the resemblance is purely coincidental.

Well the ones that I have run into could not have been much older than myself.

[Atem decides he doesn't like having to look up to Jaeger anymore and so he's rising to his feet, arms still crossed.]

I fail to see how my displacement could be that bothersome to you however. I mean I am the one that must deal with it. I will admit it has been quite the challenge but it is starting to grow on me.

Ah... yes... that. I guess it is a rather jarring but surely there is a thing or two to be gained in this place, and put to use when I do return to Egypt. I do miss it so... hopefully they are getting along find without me... but enough about me. Where do you hail from? A place much more similar to this one no doubt.

I am from a place called Neo Domino. I was the head of Special Investications there, among others. A few places are exactly the same as where I am from, but others, like this place, not so much.

Is that what this is called? I must say the magic in this world is very impressive. Where... when I come from I was very much a skeptic of the showy, cheap tricks put on by many of the priests. It is as if they were meant for children I swear. This is something else entirely. I just cannot for the life of me figure it out. [And by the looks of it he's been trying for a very long time.]

Ah... you did not want any... did you?

Oh, no thank you. [Jaeger might be a bit hungry, but not enough to eat toast from the ground. No way.]

Electricity is a fascinating thing. The harnessing of it for electrical devices has been a major keystone in the development of modern society.

[He suddenly remembers the holographic tablet/phone/pda whathaveyou, in his jacket pocket.] Would you like to see something really fascinating?

Ah well... if you do get hungry this place seems to be pretty well stocked. And I think that was a whole lot of wine I stumbled on down in the cellar.

[Sounds like the magic has a name. Too bad he didn't really follow the rest of that but curiosity is still getting the better of him and he takes a step closer.] What would that be?

[Jaeger walks over to his coat and finds the sleek silver device. It's shaped like a small pen.]

This is one of the most modern pieces of technology where I am from. [He holds it up and pushes a button, the device extends in length and a flat holoscreen projects from it's side. Jaeger makes a face, the screen is flickering.] Ah, it must have gotten wet.

[Fully functioning or not Atem is still more than amazed by this display. He can't help poking at it, without even bothering to ask. Can you blame him?] Wh... what is it?

[Not really surprised, Jaegar tries to hide an amused smirk at Atem's utter amazement. He holds it out for Atem to take it if he wishes.]

It's a holographic display device, it let's me access information wherever I am. You can touch buttons on the screen and the display reacts to your touch. Though because it got wet, it might not react appropriately.

[Atem didn't undestand a word you just said Jaeger! But that's okay because it's shiny and being offered to him and that part about buttons seems like a lot of fun! He takes it and gives the screen a tentative poke, starting when the screen flickers and then changes. After a few more pokes he really gets into it, tabbing through the screens like a maze. It's totally a game to him. Hey maybe this thing has Solitaire?

You might have to put a stop to this if you want your shiny back Jaeger.]

[Jaeger doesn't really care at the moment, he can't access the Neo Domino mainframe so it's useless to him. There is Solitaire and Chess and all kinds of things for Atem though!]

This is incredible. I am certain that there could be all kinds of uses for this thing back home. [Nevermind that he still has no real clue what it's for or how to properly use it of course.]

[Little Yuu is good because Atem knocks over a pile of toast in his surprise.] Yuusei! [He frowns when he notices the state the other is in, enough to ignore his question.] What are you doing here? You'll get sick.

[Yuu is more important that any toast (don't make him bust out with the n word now) and Atem is on his feet as soon as he sneezes, hurrying to his side and taking him by the hand.] You are coming with me.

[Atem tries to keep pace with Yuusei as he leads through the labyrinthine halls. He's already surprisingly familiar with them, probably use to his own expansive palace, and in no time at all they arrive in a bathroom where Atem proceeds to rummage through one of the closets before dropping a towel on Yuusei's head.] Hmph... what do they teach you kids in your time...

[Atem picks up Yuusei's jacket and hangs it on the door, and he has to hide a smile at the kid's logic. Then he kneels down in front of Yuusei and takes the towel, enveloping him in it to dry him off better.] And do you like being sick too?

[Well now Atem is just going to have to fight a lot harder, attempting to grab Yuusei and wrap both arms tightly around him.] oh no you don't!

[Now that he's finally stopped squirming, Atem can scrub Yuusei all over with the towel, making sure to mess up his hair of course! When he's certain that Yuusei is as dry as he's going to be, he discards the used towel and wraps a fresh one around his shoulders with a smile.] Thank you... for your concern about me... just do not try that again alright? [He might be picking Yuusei up if he'll let him.]

Good. Now how about you and I find something to eat?

[He's just now recalling all the toast he left abandoned in the kitchen and starts to wonder how this society functions without servants and the like. How bothersome.]

[Returns the look.] Well I have never seen such device that makes toast like that before! What should we do with all of it? [oh and he's heading back in the direction of the kitchen with his charge.]

[Laughs.] That is an awful lot of toast for consumption. Would you not like anything with your toast?

[Makes a face, clearly not familiar with the purpose of a fridge.] Where would it be kept?

[oh... a magic cupboard... of course. Atem looks pretty bewildered all the same. He at least has the sense to help Yuu so it doesn't spill.] Is it... safe?
