Sitting outside

[It's been an eventful time for Valentine. He's sitting outside today enjoying the sun, even if he's chilly. After his chat with Christmas, Valentine realizes how alone he truly is in this foreign place, how many people he doesn't know vs those he did know... he just wants to go home. That, and his chest still hurt. That was the most annoying part.]

My brothers and I ended up there randomly. We spent a long time there, mapping out the place... anything you want just shows up. It was amazing.

I think I kind of owe you an apology. [He looks down at his own cocoa.] There's been a lot of shit going on that was going on way before you got here, and I took it out on you. [He looks back up, his face serious . . . but not depressed, the way it has been.] I started yelling at you for something that ain't even your fault. [And back down at the cup.] . . . . . I was kinda wondering if you'd let me make it up to you.

It wouldn't be right to make you do something for someone you don't remember... Crow. I'm the one who interrupted your part. Not vice versa.

[He shakes his head.] I didn't remember. Prob'ly because I took a damn heavy knock to the head between then and now. And I prob'ly still don't know everything there is to know. But I think I remember a lot. A lot more'n I did.
