Looking for Ruby

[After yet another disastrous attempt at socializing with Christmas (in this case, bitching him out for having been bitched out for boyfriend troubles), Valentine is making his way through Satellite trying to find "Ruby." Stubborn teenager with an attitude he most definitely can be. Now is one of those moments. He wants Chris to be over this and if it means he has to talk to Ruby in order to "help", he's going to do it. He doesn't give up very easily.]

[And Val is in luck; Ruby is, for once, actually out, huddled up on the docks with his knees to his chest, staring off into space. He won't register unless Val comes and actually talks to him though.]

[As luck would have it, Valentine has decided to investigate the docks. It isn't long before he finds Ruby. Seems luck, for once, is on his side...]

[Ruby looks up slowly and blinks, with the quality of somebody who's only just woken up. Which, given that this is Ruby, may well be the case.]

...Crow? ...no, wait, you're... Val?

[He nods, sitting down near him, gritting his teeth and grunting sharply due to his ribs.]

Gotta talk to you, man. Chris is drivin' me nuts with his weeping widow act.

You know him. Christmas. Looks like me but older, cries a lot.

He said you were going at a needle. That he didn't know what to do with you.

...do you mind filling me in so I at least know why the guy putting me up in his house is wiggin out at me for things I didn't do?
