From what I've been told, this place is...a world between worlds of some kind. A crossroads, if you will. People just get dropped here from alternate times, dimensions, what have you. Even alternate versions of the same person.

It isn't. Compared to there, this place is fairly calm. And no, I doubt that you were talking to me before you came. [There is the faintest hint of a sardonic smile on his lips.] I hadn't seen you in my world for nearly two weeks and I haven't seen any other "you" around here at all.

Well, that's something at least. [Not that he looks any happier about it. Although something about all this bothers him.] But I thought the theory went that there's only twelve individual dimensions. How could you have not seen me for two weeks and wind up here long before me while I saw you a few minutes ago before landing here. It's impossible. There should only be one place where a you or I could come from. And muliples of an individual is just.... [He shakes his head. The physics isn't quite his forte, but he does know of the theories. And this doesn't fit with any of them.]
